Hahei Community groups are largely run by volunteers from the village and surrounding areas.

Our volunteer fire brigade work and train hard to keep locals and our visitors as safe as possible.
The fire brigade will sound the siren every Wednesday evening to ensure that it is in working order.
We have volunteer life guards over the summer season, when the beaches are busy.
These are lifeguards from Hot Water Beach who kindly assist us at Hahei Beach and Cathedral Cove Beach.
